Tirsit is an avid theatre buff whose first diarist on Betengna is Worke Birru. She says she loves producing her diaries because “Worke’s life is packed with drama and listening to her talk is just like being in a theatre and watching a complex story unfold in front of your eyes.”

Tirsit travels regularly to Bahirdar, where Worke lives, to do her stories. “It was unsettling at first because I’d never been to Bahirdar before much less stay there for long weeks. But Worke is such a great host that now it feels like a second home to me.”

Tirsit is now producing the dairies of Gonderit Ayalew, which air on the Amhara Mass Media Agency on Saturdays at 7:10 am.
