Shegaw is separated from his mother and barely raised by his strict father when he decides to run away. A distant relative agrees to take him in, but Shegaw commits a grave error and finds himself on the run again. From there, Shegaw ventures into the world of trade, military service, and unfettered desires; all which come at a price.
